Morcem® Cal Piedra G

Composition

Product made with NHL 3.5 lime, natural puzzolana pozzolanic selected aggregates and other additives.

Features and applications

• Mortar for repairing and pointing brick or natural-stone walls.
• Highly compatible with traditional systems and so suitable for renovation use.
• Application on newly built interiors and exteriors for enhanced habitability conditions compared with cement-based mortars.
• Apply by hand or with a pump.
• Permeable to water vapour, allowing the substrate to breathe.
• Rainwater-proof.
• Excellent adherence.
• Great plasticity.
• Contains no cement.

Substrates

• Porous, dry, hot or very absorbant substrates  must be wetted before application.
• For renovation jobs, the wall substrates should be prepared before application. 

Instructions for use

• Add water and mix mechanically until it takes on an even and workable consistency.
• Clean the full thickness of joints between parts, moisten and apply the paste with a pointer or other suitable tool.
• For renovation jobs, the wall surfaces should be prepared before application, removing any salts, loose or weak mortar and remains from previous work.
• If necessary, use the mortar to rebuild broken masonry. 
• Always wet surfaces thoroughly before applying.

Cautions and recommendations

• Do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC nor above 30ºC.
• Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
• In extreme weather conditions (strong winds or high temperatures) it is necessary to water the product with light sprinklers the day after applying it.
• The natural origin of the raw materials used in the Morcem Cal mortars, may cause slight changes in color between different production batches.
